Courses for non-clinicians focus more on accessible, practical lifestyle change, while clinician-focused courses include additional clinical context and evidence.
At the heart of all our teaching are the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine:
-
Nutrition
-
Physical Activity
-
Sleep
-
Stress and Emotional Wellbeing
-
Social Connection
-
Purpose in Life
We believe that to become an effective practitioner of lifestyle medicine, you must first experience it personally. Our courses therefore emphasise not just knowledge, but real-life application - supporting participants to reflect on and improve their own health and wellbeing.
Learning Through Real Experience
All of our presenters actively practise lifestyle medicine themselves.
Throughout the course, they share personal stories and lived experiences, offering insight into how these principles can create meaningful, lasting change.
We also often include guest speakers, including patients who have transformed their health - whether through weight loss, improved wellbeing, or even remission of long-term conditions such as type 2 diabetes. These stories bring the principles to life in a powerful and inspiring way.
Practical and Interactive Learning
Our courses are highly interactive, with plenty of time for:
-
Discussion and questions
-
Small group work
-
Reflection and shared learning
Each course also includes a physical activity session, recognising the central role movement plays in lifestyle medicine.
Flexible Course Formats
We offer a range of formats depending on the needs of the organisation and participants:
-
Full-day, face-to-face courses (our preferred format), held in a welcoming and engaging venue
-
Shorter or modular courses, including evening sessions
-
Foundation courses (e.g. a 4-session programme), particularly suited for those with little prior knowledge
Where participants are new to lifestyle medicine, we recommend allowing more time to cover the core foundations in depth.
From Learning to Action
A key part of our course - particularly in full-day sessions - is focused on practical application.
We guide participants through how to:
-
Set up their own Living Well Course
-
Adapt content for their local population
-
Deliver sessions with confidence
Our goal is not just to teach lifestyle medicine, but to equip and empower others to share it, creating a ripple effect in communities and healthcare settings.
